Part 2: Hey Minnesota, help us fill Renters’ Credit grocery bags

Thanks to HOME Line Organizer, Tracey Goodrich for this post

Many of you have known about the grocery bags for the renters’ credit campaign.  Our intention is to deliver a grocery bag to each state legislator who had constituents send in stories about the renters credit.  Each bag will have items people said they use their renters credit to pay for.

While some people have graciously donated items and packaging for some of these things, we still need tons more to make this campaign work. Would you all either bring in any donations or help circulate this post so that we can get these items covered?  Any help would be appreciated highly.

Top Ten:

77–Bills (many people mentioned heat, electric, & phone) so light bulbs, hats, gloves, old phones would be great for some of these.

76–Groceries

42-Clothing (lots of people said underwear too–maybe if you have new undies, rather than used, that would be cool)

39–insurance  (car, renters, health, life)

30–eye care, glasses  (old glasses or contact lens boxes or packaging would be great)

27–dental (we have this one covered)

22–prescription bottles

20–car repairs (small part, motor oil, hub caps, tires would all be awesome)

20–doctor visits

18–Winter gear (coats, boots, shoes)

Other top items:

Bus fare/transportation

School supplies

Laundry
