Where’s your Renters Credit?

by Nicole Witstine -- Public Policy Intern on 26 July 2011

We’ve been getting a lot of calls and e-mails from renters wondering when they are going to get their refunds. I spent quite a bit of time on hold with the Department of Revenue this morning trying to get answers but because of the overflow of calls they are experiencing, I was unable to get through. While I was on hold I did a bit of my own research on the Department of Revenue website and here’s what I found out:

Renters who filed before June 15 should expect their refunds before September 1, and renters who filed after June 15 should allow 60 days from their mailing date for information to become available.

If you’d like information on your individual refund, the Department of Revenue has provided a resource that will be updated daily for people to check the status of their refunds:

The Department of Revenue can also be reached at: 651-296-4444 or toll free at: 1-800-657-3676

Again, we will keep you informed as more information becomes available.
