Neighbors Split on the Role of Non-Profits

In St. Paul’s Frogtown neighborhood, residents have noticed the increase in vacant properties that had been the victims of foreclosure. Now, several non-profits are concerned about the loss of affordable housing, and are hoping to make a difference. They propose to buy some of these vacant properties, and rent them out as affordable rental units. As you will read, Frogtown residents are divided on whether or not this will have a positive impact in the community.
