On May 15th 2024, HOME Line Housing Attorney and Communications Coordinator Rachael Sterling was joined by Referee Tiffany Sedillos from the Fourth Judicial District (Hennepin County) and Elizabeth Wendt, Senior Attorney with The Minnesota Judicial Branch’s Legal Counsel Division to discuss how implementation of the new eviction and expungement laws have impacted courtrooms and court processes thus far. They also fielded a variety of questions from attendees.
HOME Line has been hosting regular tenant/landlord legal webinars since mid-April 2020, initially about COVID-19 issues, and expanding to other topics since then. Over 7,500 tenants, social workers and landlords have watched these live presentations from 1,300 organizations. Over 6,200 have watched recorded versions
