On August 13th 2025, HOME Line hosted a Tenant/Landlord law webinar covering issues that students typically face in off-campus housing. Attorney Shana Tomenes from the University of Minnesota’s Student Legal Services joined HOME Line Supervising Attorney Amarilis Schick and HOME Line Housing Attorney Phillip Mellon to share advice around finding and securing a rental home and specific issues that can arise in rental housing for students. Presenters also fielded questions from attendees. 1.5 standard CLE credits have been applied for this webinar.
HOME Line has been hosting regular tenant/landlord legal webinars since mid-April 2020, initially about COVID-19 issues, and expanding to other topics since then. Over 7,500 tenants, social workers and landlords have watched these live presentations from 1,300 organizations. Over 6,200 have watched recorded versions
