Last year $186 million in cuts were enacted that reduced the amount of rent paid for which your refund is calculated from 19% to 17%. This year state legislators are proposing even further cuts to this program that assists nearly 300,000 low-income seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income renters across the state.
