On September 2nd, HOME Line hosted a free webinar to share information about current legal issues that Minnesota renters are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic. This week we had several guest speakers:
- Joel Salzer & Alyssa Wetzel-Moore from Minnesota Housing discussed the new statewide COVID-19 Housing Assistance Program that tenants can apply to for rental assistance.
- Assistant Attorney General Katherine Kelly. Katherine is in the Minnesota Attorney General’s Consumer, Wage, & Antitrust division and represents the Attorney General in his enforcement of the state’s consumer protection laws. Katherine’s work for the Attorney General’s Office has spanned several industries, including the telecommunications industry, credit-card processing industry, and the residential rental marketplace. She discussed how their office is enforcing the Executive Orders on Evictions.
