On November 18th, HOME Line hosted a free webinar to share information about current legal issues that Minnesota renters are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic. We were joined by guest speaker Lawrence McDonough, Senior Minnesota Counsel, National Anti-Eviction Project, Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
Lawrence provided an overview of Minnesota’s current residential eviction suspension during the COVID-19 pandemic, and shared estimates as to the anticipated size, timing, and overall impact of the pending eviction tsunami once federal and state suspensions lift. He discussed the role that attorneys, law students, and community members throughout the state can play in helping prepare and respond to this critical threat to our neighbors housing stability. He also fielded a range of questions
