On April 14th, HOME Line hosted another COVID-19 webinar—the recording is further below. We were joined by guest speaker LegalCORPS Program Coordinator Sarah Lewis to discuss their new advice clinics for low-income residential landlords. Then HOME Line staff provided an overview the current eviction suspension status and answered a variety of tenant/landlord questions.
HOME Line has been hosting webinars since mid-April on COVID-19 and how it affects Minnesota landlords and tenants. Over 4,000 tenants, social workers and landlords have watched these live presentations and over 2,200 have watched recorded versions.
Register for our next COVID-19 webinar on 4/28/21, where HOME Line staff—Housing Attorney Andrea Palumbo and Leah DeGrazia, a fellow with the Saeks Public Interest Residency Program—will be sharing data on the past full year of the eviction suspension. They will outline the number of evictions filed under exceptions, comparing filing rates throughout the state, and reviewing what exceptions landlords have relied upon to file.
