On June 16th, HOME Line hosted another COVID-19 webinar—the recording is further below. The Minnesota Legislature reconvened for a special legislative session on June 14, 2021 and announced a possible agreement of an “off-ramp” policy for ending the state eviction suspension. We discussed this news, despite there not yet being clear language/bills on the topic. We also discussed legal challenges to the state and federal suspensions and took a variety of questions.
HOME Line has been hosting webinars since mid-April on COVID-19 and how it affects Minnesota landlords and tenants. Over 5,000 tenants, social workers and landlords have watched these live presentations and over 2,500 have watched recorded versions. Consider registering for one of our upcoming webinars:
- 6/23/21 COVID-19 webinar: The Minnesota Legislature has reconvened for a special legislative session on June 14th to discuss a variety of proposals including a possible “off-ramp” policy for ending the state eviction suspension. We’ll discuss updates on this topic—including any news or specifics about how the “off-ramp” works—and we’ll also review the current status of state and federal eviction suspensions, and leave time for your questions at the end of the session.
- 6/30/21 COVID-19 webinar: June 30th is both the deadline for the Minnesota Legislature to come up with a budget for the next biennium (beginning on July 1), and is also the current scheduled end of the federal CDC eviction moratorium. We’ll discuss both of these topics in terms of how it may be impacting any ongoing Minnesota state eviction suspension policy and/or off-ramp.
