On August 25th, HOME Line hosted another COVID-19 webinar—the recording is further below. We were joined by guest speaker Assistant Attorney General Katherine Kelly, who discussed how their office was involved in the enforcement of Minnesota’s Executive Orders that suspended evictions and landlord-instigated lease terminations since March 2020 (summary of activities, results, etc.), as well as where the office is positioned around tenant/landlord legal issues going forward. We also briefly covered the current situation with Minnesota’s eviction moratorium phaseout law and the federal CDC moratorium, and then fielded a number of questions.
HOME Line has been hosting webinars since mid-April on COVID-19 and how it affects Minnesota landlords and tenants. Over 6,000 tenants, social workers and landlords have watched these live presentations and over 3,200 have watched recorded versions.
