On February 2, 2022, HOME Line hosted a webinar about the RentHelpMN program. We were joined by two attorneys from Housing Justice Center, Max Tsai and Shana Tomenes. As a former field partners, both Max and Shana have extensive experience helping tenants navigate through the RentHelpMN process. On this webinar they covered the program, including what the recent application deadline means (which applications are covered and which are not), what are next steps for people who submitted last-minute applications (common documents that are often missing, a review of self-verification forms), how to check application status, and provided an overview of application denials, including how to appeal a RentHelpMN decision.
HOME Line has been hosting webinars since mid-April on COVID-19 and how it affects Minnesota landlords and tenants. Over 6,000 tenants, social workers and landlords have watched these live presentations and over 3,200 have watched recorded versions.
