On April 19th, 2023, HOME Line hosted a webinar on Minnesota tenant/landlord law. This webinar covered the role of city inspectors in rental housing. We were joined by Enrique Velázquez, Director of Inspections Services and Bryan Starry, Manager of Housing Inspections—both from the City of Minneapolis Department of Regulatory Services—and Fire Safety Manager AJ Neis from the City of St. Paul Department of Safety and Inspections. The presentation covered the role city inspectors have when it comes to rental housing and what is, and is not, a part of their jobs. We were also joined by HOME Line Housing Attorney, Impact Litigation and Research Director Samuel Spaid. Our guest speakers and HOME Line legal staff fielded a variety of questions from attendees.
HOME Line has been hosting regular tenant/landlord legal webinars since mid-April 2020, initially about COVID-19 issues, and expanding to other topics since then. Over 7,500 tenants, social workers and landlords have watched these live presentations from 1,300 organizations. Over 6,200 have watched recorded versions
