Jess Zarik (she/her) is a newbie to Minnesota, making her way here from Grand Rapids, MI, where she has lived for almost 9 years. Jess studied Community Leadership in college and has used that knowledge to work in various roles to advance equity and justice in housing since college. She served an AmeriCorps term as a housing case manager in Portland, OR, and then followed with a VISTA term in Grand Rapids that turned into a long term project addressing behavioral health and economic development in the city. She is most excited to support HOME Line’s VISTA cohorts to mimic all the support she received during her two service years. Jess is also a Board Co-Chair of Bike & Build, a national nonprofit that focuses on affordable housing and cycling justice advocacy for young people. She’s got a husky malamute pup named Ajax who will be your furry best friend instantly.
