November was another busy month on the tenant hotline. We remain on a record pace for the year for both new and total calls. We’ve already taken more follow-up calls this year than through all of 2022.
We have also already set a new yearly record for clients advised on our Somali, Spanish, and Hmong language hotlines —and it’s only through the end of November! There has been a steady increase in clients seeking advice via our multilingual language hotlines over the past three years:
- 2021: 524 calls
- 2022: 861 calls
- 2023: 910 calls (through the end of November)
Here are the top 10 reasons clients reached out to our hotline in November, as compared to November 2022. Of note is that Repairs took the top spot for the 3rd time this year, just barely displacing evictions, which has been the top reason for calls most of this year and last year.
