The tenant hotline reached a major milestone in September—we’ve now advised over 350,000 renter households since opening!
As we move through 2025, we’re 75% of the way through the year and remain on pace for a record number of new contacts (emails and calls), up 3% compared to 2024. So far, 15,574 tenant households have reached out this calendar year. Total contacts (including both new and follow-up calls) are also up 3% over last year at this time.
Here are the top 10 reasons tenants contacted us and the number of those topics for the first 9 months of 2025 compared to the same time frame last year.

Both eviction and financial aid questions remain very high compared to 2024, as tenants continue to face economic challenges. Roughly 90% of evictions are filed for non-payment of rent. Meanwhile, repair issues hold a solid lead as the top concern for the year—which has historically been the case for the tenant hotline.
