Tami comes from a language learning and advocacy background. Tami has taught English language in a variety of settings, including elementary public schools in South Korea and Minnesota, English for business professionals, and beginning English classes for immigrants and refugees. In addition to English language teaching, Tami is an advocate for language access and inclusivity. In 2024, Tami left teaching to continue her language advocacy work as a Tenant Organizer with the same mission of advocating for inclusive language services and resources for Minnesota’s diverse communities. In Tami’s free time she enjoys spending time with her four chickens and harvesting fresh foods from her garden.
