This was our busiest June ever on the hotline for all three of our metrics for tracking contacts (calls plus emails). We set all-time June records for new, follow-up, and total contacts, with 3,945 total contacts—the new all-time record for any month, eclipsing the previous record set in August 2023.
For the year, we are well ahead of last year’s total contacts, new contacts, and follow-ups—all at least 11% higher than at this time last year. Note that 2025 was our busiest new-contact year of all time.

Evictions remain the top issue that tenants contact the hotline about, staying ahead of repairs for the year. Tenants looking for financial assistance continue to account for a large percentage of the spike in calls this calendar year.
Another half-year update: we’re on pace for yet another record year for multilingual calls. HOME Line staff have taken 745 new calls in Spanish, Somali, and Hmong, compared with 631 during the same period in 2025—a whopping 18% increase.
